Sound - Uncopyrighted Sounds/Music

Last year, for my AS task, my group had a lot of problems with the music/sound. None of us could play instruments, and so had to create our music/sounds in other ways. We used foleying, and Cal also used a website called Audiotool.

As this was a big problem for me previously, I've kept this in mind while planning my teaser trailer, as it must include some kind of music or sound to give it a better effect and make it complete.

Using Audiotool was good to begin with, as it was easy to create music from our previous knowledge of the website, the only problem with this website, is that we couldn't download the music for free. In the end we had to get someone from the IT department to help us, which was very time consuming, and I believe they just recorded the sound as it's not of good quality.

Although using Audiotool is an option, I had to research other methods, and so have been looking online for non copyrighted, royalty free music/sounds. Many of the royalty free sound sites were unaccessible from school due to their internet privacy, and so had to research online at home.

On Jamendo I found great background music, called "Creep Haunted Atmosphere" by Akashic Records it's an eery sound of wind whistling. I think this will go great with my location, of the woods. I couldn't find any other music which I believe will fit with my teaser trailer on this website.

On FreeSound I found many brilliant sound effects:

A Gunshot

This will be used as my teaser trailer will include a scene of an army person, trying to get everyone safe. I got this idea from 28 Weeks Later. I can't embed the video, but the link is here. It shows the army personnel trying to contain the innocent citizens,

Alarms & Sirens

The sound of an alarm or siren is often used in Horror Zombie films, these sounds let the audience expect something bad to happen, as there's been a disturbance, or the police are on arrival. I will use this sound and it will just be used to represent a disturbance and make the audience feel uncomfortable.
I've got a lot of examples of sirens, I believe more than one sound of a siren, overlapped with others, will give a better effect.

Footsteps

Ideally I wanted to find a sound of a person running on grass, as this would imitate a Zombie running through the woods. Sadly I could only find a good slower paced walking noise. This problem can be fixed, as on iMovie, you can change the speed of the sound.

Zombie Noise

Of course I have to include a grunt/moan by a Zombie, I found this good one on the website, I didn't want anything too loud as I wanted it to sound eerie and strange.

Heavy Breathing

This is a subtle noise, I wanted this to just exaggerate the Zombie noise, as I think it partners with it well.
