I've researched online how to edit my video so that it is shown in black & white, but with another colour showing, as i wanted my film to be black & white, with red also showing. This style is very well known due to Sin City and this has inspired me to use it in my teaser trailer. Other films that have used this effect include: Shindler's List, Pleasantville.
Above are pictured examples of the visual effect I'm explaining. I think this will be effective in my teaser trailer, even in just one shot, as it will exaggerate the colours that are shown. As I want all the shot to be black and white, but the red blood, the blood will be the main focus, which links with the Horror genre.
After researching online, I've found I can use iMovie, by using a green or blue screen. This means the parts I want red, must be green or blue on recording so I can edit this. Where can I find blue or green lipstick? And should I just use blue or green food colouring for blood? I find this really annoying as I already have the props of red lipstick and fake blood. There must be an easier way to do this.
I know on Final Cut I can use a Colour Splash tool, as Morrighan is planning to do the same editing technique as me and after a discussion with her she said we could use Final Cut, however there are a few computers with it installed. I'm really unsure what to do and shall talk to my teacher about this problem.

The shot I'd like to use this effect is in the extreme / close ups of the Zombie (me). The colour red will be shown and it will be of the blood around my mouth. Below are examples of how I'd like to look in the shot, I'll buy props such as Zombie contact lenses and fake blood, along with make up to create a look similar to these images.
Both photos shown above are screenshots from make up tutorials on YouTube. This makes it easier for me to recreate the look as the online videos will give me instructions.
